Dear Dr Miriam Silver of Clinpsy.org.uk,
RE: A written open complaint in response to “Message from the mods”
I have not broken any of the forum rules, and you have not provided any evidence at all relating to the concerns raised in the message and your message states that you are not willing to discuss the matters you raise.
I have now written a comphrehensive and evidenced complaint addressed to the HPC regarding your conduct outside of work which will be sent within 24 hours if your “message from mods” is not recinded in full and a full apology provided. I will also inform your employer to the same effect regarding my experience of perceived bullying and perceived defamation from you in the public domain, since you represent the mod team and by default act as representative to your employing organisation.
If the message is not recinded I will also revoke permission to use the intellectually copyrighted forum banner image file that I created under your instruction and for which monies were received (and for which I hold the original file with creation dated before anything you possess) you can keep the pheonix as it was added later. If your message is not recinded, you have 72 hours to remove the banner or legal action will commence and you will be served papers to attend court. The ‘competition’ thread relating to the clinpsy logo design process has been cached on my PC and makes no mention or implication that copyright is be held by clinpsy from the elected creater.
Deleting this post and or locking me out of my account will immediately trigger the above processes.
If the message is recinded and a full written apology offered, you may then close this thread and delete it. You should take this message very seriously.
Regards,
++++++
Since this is an open complaint I have posted it on my blog and will only be removed upon my above desired outcome being realised.
Here is the message from the mods:
Dear @@@@@,
We have noticed that recently you seem to be posting in a way that is increasingly rude towards members of the moderating team. We feel that your nitpicking at mods and admins detracts from the purpose of the site which is to help people tackling the difficult early stages of this career. We have also received complaints from the membership about your argumentative style, the overly confident and authoritative tone of your posts, your inability to take a different person's perspective or see arguments from any viewpoint but your own, and your tendency to post in a verbose and confusing writing style. Quite often your posts have the effect of derailing helpful discussions which our feedback suggests can be detrimental to everyone else who would wish to read or debate the topic.
These seem to be themes we have visited before. Therefore, we wish to remind you to review the forum guidance before posting again. Any rude or antagonistic posting will not be tolerated. Further instances may lead to your posts being removed or edited without warning, or to temporary or permanent account suspension (and if you are banned again, there will be no third chance). Therefore we hope that you can reflect on this feedback and make changes to the way that you use the forum. When contributing to debates please ensure that you phrase your viewpoint in more tentative language that allows others to express alternative explanations without feeling talked down. Please post in plain English wherever possible.
Members of the mod team have discussed these details with you at length before and therefore we are not prepared to discuss things further with you. You know what you need to do if you want to continue participating on the forum and what will happen if you do not change your negative behaviours.
Please note that this warning is final and is not up for negotiation. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
Ruthie, on behalf of the mod team.
